2. General principles
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website together with our content and services. Processing takes place either with the user’s consent or where a legal basis under Article 6 GDPR applies.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external service provider. When you access the site, the provider automatically collects information transmitted by your browser (server log files): IP address, date and time of the request, page accessed, referrer URL, browser type and operating system.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically correct presentation and the security of our website. Log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest.
4. Cookies and consent management
Our website uses cookies. Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(2) TDDDG. All other cookies, in particular for statistics and marketing, are set only with your express consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Consent is managed through a consent management tool. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings on this website. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
5. Contact and enquiry form
If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or through the enquiry form, we process the data you provide (for example name, company, e-mail address, telephone number, delivery address and the content of your enquiry) in order to deal with your request.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry is directed at concluding a contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Orders and customer accounts
To process your order we handle master data, contract data and payment data (company, contact person, billing and delivery address, VAT ID, e-mail address, telephone number, order contents).
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Retention obligations under commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO, six and ten years respectively) remain unaffected; that processing rests on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. A customer account is voluntary and can be deleted at any time on request.
7. Disclosure to service providers
To perform the contract we pass data to the following categories of recipient: freight forwarders and hauliers (delivery address, contact person, telephone number), payment service providers and banks, our tax advisers, and our hosting and e-mail providers. Data processing agreements under Article 28 GDPR are in place with all processors.
8. Web analytics
Where you have consented, we use a web analytics service to evaluate the use of our website statistically and improve our offer. Data may be transferred to third countries; the provider relies on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision of the European Commission. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You may withdraw consent at any time.
9. Live chat
Where you have consented, we embed a live chat service allowing you to contact us directly. Your chat entries and technical connection data are processed. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
10. Web fonts
This website loads fonts provided by an external supplier. Your IP address is transmitted to their servers when the page is opened. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the consistent presentation of our website.
11. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as required for the relevant purposes or as statutory retention periods demand.
12. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Consent given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to the address above is sufficient to exercise your rights.
13. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority includes the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
14. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy whenever changes to our processing activities or the legal framework make it necessary.
