Returns and refunds
This page summarises how returns and refunds work at EMC Containerhandel GmbH. The legally binding versions are our right of withdrawal notice and our terms and conditions.
Return window
As a consumer you may withdraw from your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. The period starts on the day you, or a person nominated by you, took possession of the container.
What can be returned
- Stock units from our depotunmodified, as delivered: fully returnable.
- Individually adapted containerspainted, converted or fitted with doors, windows, partitions, electrical or sanitary installations at your request: excluded from the right of withdrawal (section 312g(2) no. 1 German Civil Code).
How to return
- Tell us by e-mail at Kontakt@containerhandelgmbh.com or in writing. You may use the model withdrawal form.
- We confirm your withdrawal and agree a collection date with you.
- The return is made by freight haulage, a container cannot be sent by post. Send the goods back within 14 days of your withdrawal notice.
Return costs
You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. The amount depends on container size, collection address and unloading method. Ask us before you exercise your right of withdrawal and we will quote a fixed price for collection.
Refunds
We refund the full purchase price including the original delivery cost within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used, with no fees for you. We may withhold the refund until we have received the container back or you have provided evidence that you have sent it.
Diminished value
You may inspect the container as you would in a shop. If its value is reduced beyond that, for example by drilling, painting, coating, or transport damage caused by improper loading, we may charge for the loss in value.
Damaged or faulty goods
Please inspect the container on delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery note. Report defects promptly with photographs to Kontakt@containerhandelgmbh.com. Where a defect is our responsibility we cover the cost of repair, replacement or collection. Your statutory warranty rights are unaffected.
